Arai Helmet, Inc. is proud to announce that MotoAmerica Superbike front-runners, Jake Gagne and Josh Herrin, will be joining the Arai family for the 2021 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship season. The two will race in Arai Corsair-X helmets.
Gagne and Herrin are veterans of the MotoAmerica paddock and have a wealth of racing experience between them, acquired in domestic and foreign championships. This year, the two riders are teammates and will pilot Yamaha YZF-R1 Superbikes for the Fresh N’ Lean Attack Performance Yamaha Racing team.
“It’s great to have Jake back in Arai helmets for 2021,” said Brian Weston, Managing Director of Arai Helmet, Inc. “We know Jake has a ton of experience and that he knows how important protection and the Arai concept of ‘Glancing Off’ is when racing at the highest levels.”
During the 2020 MotoAmerica Superbike season, Gagne performed well and was a consistent podium finisher. The San Diegan’s road racing achievements begin with his admirable 2009-2010 Red Bull Rookies Cup showings, as well as his 2014 AMA Supersport Championship title, and he followed it up by claiming the inaugural 2015 MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 title. More recently, he completed one full season of the 2018 World Superbike Championship and has been a permanent fixture in the American road racing scene.
Josh Herrin has risen through the ranks and become one of the most popular riders in the MotoAmerica Superbike class, with his aggressive and determined riding style.
“We are super excited to have Josh in Arai helmets this year,” said Brian Weston, Managing Director of Arai Helmet, Inc. “ Josh is an amazing athlete and we know he’ll be running up front in the MotoAmerica Superbike series in 2021.”
Herrin brings with him a carefree and approachable attitude that many MotoAmerica fans have come to enjoy, making him a fan-favorite at autograph signings and on social media. His accomplishments stretch far beyond that, as Herrin won the 2013 AMA Superbike and 2016 MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 championship titles, in addition to competing in the 2014 Moto2 World Championship.
Josh Herrin will be joining the Arai News Live crew on February 11th, sharing his thoughts on his new Arai partnership and his Fresh N’ Lean Attack Performance Yamaha Superbike. The next Arai News Live broadcast is on February 11th, 2021 at 11 a.m. EST. Be sure to “like” and subscribe to the Arai Helmet Americas YouTube Channel for updates.
