This is one of the most underrated super sport motorcycles developed by Kawasaki!
They called it… the ZX9R
In response to Honda’s introduction of the CBR900RR Fireblade in 1992, the team in green sort to pioneer a malicious machine by combining their class-leading big-bore ZZR1100 and middle weight sports bike ZXR750 into one. The end result… was a big ass motorcycle.
PUMPING OUT 15 more ponies than that of the fireblade, the ZX9R had the advantage in power deliver, but could not make up for its absolute giant size and reduced agility.
Rather than be a direct competitor, the ZX-9R was retained as a more stable and more comfortable alternative to the Honda, with more straight-line speed.
